A walking group has been set up to get local people to have fun outdoors and help reduce social isolation.
The neighbourhoods in Warrington team are running the walking group to encourage more people to get out and about and keep active.
Meetings of the ‘South Strollers’ will take place on Wednesday 21 February, Wednesday 21 March and Wednesday 18 April. Walkers are asked to arrive at 9.30am for a 10am start, meeting at Sandy Lane Community Centre, 1 Sandy Lane, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AY (next to the community recycling centre).
The walk will take around one hour to complete, it will be a low intensity walk, going at a leisurely pace through local beauty spots and green spaces. Dogs on leads are welcome to come along to join in the fun and refreshments will be provided free of charge.
Future walks will then take place on the third Wednesday of each month.
